I realize that the server runners don't provide help with linux so I figured 'maybe someone in the community knows a thing.'

The game itself runs fine, but that's at stock settings. I open the exe for setting options so that I can hopefully get widescreen and a nicer resolution, and I get greeted with the above dialogue box.

I have japanese fonts installed. MS Core Fonts installed...

Thoughts?

i run it fine using winehq 8 but to play some other game i had to install corefonts which might fix your issue

use this command to install it

Didn't work, kept saying it errored on installing core fonts. Weird part is the submenues had readable fonts and when i cycled through the fonts it wouldl ist the active one.

So your post helped in a roundabout way.
